Event Details

Where do our religious beliefs come from? Have religious beliefs served an evolutionary purpose?

Join us for THE EVOLUTION OF RELIGION, a lively panel discussion about the intersection of science and religion hosted by NPR’s Neal Conan.

On Wednesday, October 5, 2011 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, COSI, WOSU, and the Ohio State University Department of Entomology will host a panel discussion on the evolution of religion.

Our panelists will include Nicholas Wade, New York Times writer and author of The Faith Instinct, and Lionel Tiger, Charles Darwin Professor of Anthropology, Emeritus, at Rutgers University, and author of God's Brain.

Neal Conan, well-known as host of National Public Radio's Talk of the Nation, will moderate.

This program will take place at COSI in Columbus, Ohio, on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and is supported by a grant from the John Templeton Foundation.

This event is free but pre-registration is required.

If you don't snag a ticket, please feel free to watch the panel discussion live online at www.wosu.org/streaming.
